At a meeting of the Leadership Group of the Road Cluster held today in Tartu, Järvamaa Vocational Training Centre (JVTC) was accepted as a member of the Estonian Road Cluster.

JVTC became a member of the Estonian Asphalt Pavement Association in the summer of 2012. It decided to join the Road Cluster in order to intensify cooperation with companies and research institutions of the road sector to develop curricula, create relevant professional standards, and introduce and develop options for the in-service training of road construction workers. These interests coincide with the goals of the Road Cluster project, i.e. to develop need-based education, improve the quality of curricula, and introduce new and innovative solutions in the road sector.

With the acceptance of the JVTC, there are 21 members in the Road Cluster. The Cluster is continually looking for cooperation with other companies and research institutions that operate in the road sector and are interested in the development of the field as well as in cooperation between companies and research institutions.

The Road Cluster project is supported by Enterprise Estonia and the European Regional Development Fund.
